This is not completely true by the way.
While Adsense might be the best alternative out of named services (Yahoo, AdBrite, etc), many heavy bloggers and webmasters argue that there are much better alternatives to context-based ads altogether.
What they mean mainly, is that direct marketing (such as T-Mobile ad I see to the right at this very moment) are much more reliable and profitable, as they are directly dependent on traffic you've got (read eye-balls), and not the "clicks" you receive.
In addition, I haven't seen any sites that get $100 PER CLICK as mentioned in the post. I find it something VERY hard to believe in.
