'Surcharge' at pump adds to gas pains »
Posted by: tehranchik 3 months agoIt's easy to see the little black sign on Arco gas pumps if you know to look for it. The sign explains that if you pay with plastic, you'll have to cough up a "surcharge" of 45 cents to cover the gas station's banking and handling fees for the transaction.

Better have cash when gassing up at an Arco on the west coast. With gas at around the four dollar mark, there's almost another fifty cents to your credit card bill.
