According to Crazytree (comment on original story)

"unfettered capitalism will destroy itself."

Couldn't have said it better myself.

It's time for America to wake up and forget all that scary anti-socialist propaganda.

What's wrong with treating your fellow citizens like family?

Or would you all be willing to throw them to the dogs for the almighty dollar?

I shouldn't have to remind all you Christians that "GREED" is one of the seven deadly sins.

The government didn't "throw up its hands."

Evil men worked hard and hideously against the American people and the Constitution to break the checks and balances.

Not only did they deregulated the very policies that would have helped prevent some if not most of the irresponsible decisions made by the banks and mortgage companies and unqualified borrowers, Bush also appointed foxes (who were beholden to the very industries they regulate) to watch the hen house. And now there's no chicken left to lay their mortgage eggs.
