I use PayPal all the time and haven't had many problems. About the worst was a chargeback investigation. They took the money and charged me a $10 fee. About 2 months later they told me they had completed the investigation. They ruled in my favor and gave me all the money back including the fee. I would have been in an uproar if my bank had done that to me!

Hadn't had any major issues either, but when I googled "PayPal Horror" or "PayPal Froze My Account" I knew that I didn't know everything that I should know.
I bought the book and made the necessary changes. Buyers can have their account zapped too like the author of the book. Must read Doing Business With PayPal.
