The Alaska subsidiary of BP PLC (BP) pleaded guilty Thursday to a federal environmental crime for failing to prevent a crude spill in the Prudhoe Bay oil field. BP Exploration Alaska Inc. admitted to one violation of the Clean Water Act for the 200,000-gallon spill in March 2006.
