Will somebody please explain this: I spend the money to buy stamps, and the money goes to the Post Office to be used to their operating cost. I don't use all those stamps. The Post Office has already spent the money I loaned them. Now I must buy more stamps to mail at the current rate?

Oh, he's fun alright. Libby the homophobe doen't realize the the Postal Service was actually established before the Constitution was created. Also, that there are certain services - mail, military, air traffic controllers - that have such strategic interests for the US that to privatize them would be less than intelligent.

Wow, I thought our country has freedom... (?)... Now I wish we have someone like President Ronald Reagan. Yes "LibFighter", let's fight to change our country to be a country of FREEDOM, as it was UPON THE TIME.

Postal rates are already over three dollars a gallon., just mail one gallon of water, and you will pay out the yazoo.

I used the USPS for most mailings because of the supposed security and right to freedoms that was afforded. Now that right to have my mailings unopened and unread (or at least notified when it Was done) has been taken away by Homeland Security measures. Now it's actually more secure to send my stuff by private shippers.
It's double plus bad to have Big Brother turned into Overbearing Father.

It's nice to see the USPS catching up with the times. Here in Canada we had the "Permanent" stamp intro'd last year. Buy it at 51 cents and still use it when the rate is 52 or 53 or 54.
Also, any 51 cent stamps bought last year can be used for all of 2007, even though the base rate is now 52.

This Saturday I noticed that the service window hours went from starting at 8:00 am to 9:00 am . I guess the goverment is spending too much money funding war and not paying salaries
