The budget deficit for the current year will be $172 billion, according to new estimates by the Congressional Budget Office. The latest CBO figures, disclosed by a congressional aide, also predict the budget could come back into surplus by 2012, although that would require President George W. Bush's tax cuts to expire at the end of 2010.

If people are afraid to spend...then there is going to be a disaster. But, what is a person to do? I learned many years ago, you take care of yourself first, then worry about if the store owner is making it. Why should I worry about the security of the country when I am sinking with the high cost of living today. If I lose everything, then I can't lose anything with the illegal aliens or an foriegn enemy.
