Jan. 3, 2007, 2:36 a.m.Mr. Brook's statements are archaic! While I agree that Internet leads can be a waste, direct mail leads have a proven success record. Professionals in every industry rely on suppliers - other professionals. You don't see carpenters going into the forest to harvest lumber to frame a house. Insurance must be sold by competent agents who use due diligence to determine the "degree of need" for coverage and place clients with an appropriate carrier.
I have made a living for 16 years helping Life Agents. I am privileged to have many long-term relationships with agents that have built highly successful businesses based on direct mail leads. Many former clients are only former because the leads I provided enabled them to cultivate a rich client and referral base. All successful agents rely on a consistent supply of quality leads. I am glad to discuss this with Mr. Brooks or any life agent. tom@lifeleadsystems.com. Tom Hoover

April 23, 2007, 6:26 p.m.I would go a bit further than THoover. While many Internet leads are a waste, it all depends on how they are generated. If the leads were captured from genuinely searching for insurance quotes, they are as reliable as any other source. The trick here is just to purchase your leads from a reputable company, such as http://www.prospectzone.com/insurance.
