    While interest rates do play a large role we have to take into consideration the large consumer debt as well. This is what is pushing down the housing prices as interest rates rise and it is a very important factor affecting the economy.

      Yes! It is bad. When we can live within our means, and every citizen will be able to get a living wage job, then we jk9ight be able to pull out of the current recession.
