  Correct me if I´m wrong, but I beleive there are maximum fares allowed by the city for the Taxi rides. It might be time to adjust those....

  Froggy...its funny in the other blog you are against the raising of Minimum wage and in this blog you are in favor of taxi fare hike. If the min wage or wages do not get increase how are people going to afford their taxi rides???

  You have to keep in mind with increase oil prices, there will be inflation across the board due to increase overhead for companies....does anyone remember the oil crisis in the 70s'??????

  The basic necessities will increase in price...

  I say let them disappear...nothing against the drivers, but drastic things like this needs to happen before we get any support from our government...on top of a president that's not tied into oil.
